Esta actividad se enmarca dentro del programa de actividades diseñado por estos dos clubes con motivo del Día Internacional de la Mujer.El presidente de la Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol Axarquía\, José Juan Jiménez ha felicitado al Club Deportivo Playas de Torre del Mar y al Grupo 17 “por la organización de esta iniciativa que aúna deporte y medio ambiente para visibilizar la tan reclamada igualdad entre hombres y mujeres”. “Una ruta\, que además\, rinde homenaje a todas las mujeres que llevan siglos soportando esa injusta desigualdad en todos los ámbitos de la vida”\, ha agregado.El alcalde de Arenas\, Manuel Ríos\, también ha agradecido a los dos colectivos que hayan elegido “Arenas para esta ruta tan emblemática en un día tan señalado”. “Nos hemos sumado sin pensarlo porque nos parece una iniciativa muy buena ya que es por la igualdad y porque consideramos que las administraciones tienen que impulsar el deporte”\, ha subrayado.El presidente de APTA\, Álvaro Hurtado\, también ha celebrado que “esta ruta se incorpore al calendario de actividades que ambos grupos deportivos organizan en la comarca a lo largo del año”. “A través de ellas consiguen que la Axarquía se conozca\, sobre todo\, para este segmento deportivo”\, ha destacadoEn declaraciones a los medios\, Conchi Callejón\, presidenta del Grupo del 17 ha señalado que “el día 8 de Marzo es un día emblemático en todo el mundo\, por ello nuestro club se quiere sumar a esta efeméride de la forma que nos gusta\, y es caminando junto a otros y por los caminos de nuestra Axarquía para reivindicar esta fecha. Coincidiendo con esta celebración\, decir que el Grupo del 17 me ha elegido como su representante\, de tal manera que es la primera vez que se elige a una mujer como presidenta del mismo.
